Oh, yes. We agree with this last sentence 100%. No person should be blamed for having cat allergies, but you can definitely point a finger at someone with such a debilitating situation who doesn't take care of themselves. Especially when it comes to something so common, as an allergy to cats - they're literally everywhere. It's not an allergy to an obscure material, only found in specific places of the world or specific times of the year. Cats surround our lives - and if they make someone's life a complete bedridden experience, they should treat themselves. They can't expect the world to suddenly not have cats.
So this man? He should just go to the doctor, just like this one comment suggests. It's a cat allergy, he doesn't have to see a specialist. Will he do that and not expect the world to revolve around his condition? We don't know. But it sure does seem as if this is how he sees it, between the lines.

Culture or not, cats are someone's number one priority once they've been adopted. Family is important, relationships are important, but the cat is completely dependent on you. As their human pawrent, you're their everything. You're your cat's entire world. And we think this is how a cat pawrent should see their cat - something you don't just give up on so simply. They are as equally as important as other aspects in one's life.
